I suspect this refers to 30 hcp (high card points). does it relate to splinter Bids perhaps? A bit more information is required I think.
5 in the suit to overcall [after intervention] when your partner has opened is what Bernard teaches. That hand you refer to might well have been suitable for a double to let partner know you had a little something for them, but could not bid at the two level.
I must say this being invisible is tricky, you have to remember if you’ve done it to reverse the process as soon as possible, Bridgebase does remember, you stay invisible once you’ve selected it..
The advantage of being invisible means you can log in, do something and get out again swiftly without getting into a chat with your “friends” who see you log on and immediately (and doubtless naturally) want to chew the cud with you about the state of the nation, the latest teams event, splinter bids, etc.
If you’ve told you friends you are taking your Great Auntie Ethel to the Cinema to see Bambi the movie on Thursday afternoon, you don’t want to be dobbed in by Bridgebase do you??
The seminar on the 27th of July (quantitative bidding) would be very useful to watch in connection with this question. Even if opener had bid differently (1 of a suit followed by a one no trump rebid to give a full picture of the hand) , the final contract doubtless would have ended up the same.

A great idea of yours. I think BBO should do it – but maybe there’s no particular incentive for them.
Brian’s idea is a really good way to partially manage the problem.

Multiple log-ins [another good idea]= more passwords! Personally I manage my passwords [and have done for 3+ years ] with ironcrypto which is an app on my smartphone, it means one master password is required then you can keep everything secure “on-line” together with explanatory notes – and it is searchable – with tags too.

I am hoping to learn bridge and will comment on graphics if that is ok. I am afraid I am a visual audio and kinesthetic learner (vak) so the last part doesn’t come into it but the graphics need to be a bit more user friendly So visually you are great to watch and listen to. However I need some help on positional layout and interaction. Maybe a cream background and different font to start with.

I at last tried this flatbread. I talked to you on BBO and ended that I would. I daren't go in shops yet and local store has very limited GF but I finally got someone to get me chick pea flour (which I have not used before). I don't think I did it right – do you use an electric whisk or a wooden spoon by hand? Also I hadn't a big enough metal pie tin so used a pyrex one. It ended up soggy but it was vaguely edible. I will have another try

Choice of book depends on size of pan. For example, my copy of the Complete Works of Shakespeare wouldn't fit but Three Men in a Boat lacks sufficient mass. Card Play Technique is physically and mentally a weighty tome and probably deserves reading once a year.

Playing bridge with Bernard was ruined by having a no cards of value all night. Alll those weeks floating around in the ocean with Mr Bridge going nowhere was so memorable. Maybe we should have a photo album of out McGee family and bridge fans?
